Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter morning despite the fact that Maggie and I are pretty sick. The Easter Bunny made it to our house, and in addition to lots of treat-filled eggs, he left some new Crocs for Ben and a blue stuffed bunny for Maggie.

Ben shows off his new shoes and a ring of chocolate around his mouth. He thought the M&M-filled eggs were the grand-prize of the morning. Those were consumed immediately. All the jelly bean-filled eggs were emptied into another container for Daddy. When he opened those and saw what was inside, he would say, "Bummer, Dude!" (as if they were rotten eggs).

I think Maggie was able to keep just one egg for herself. Ben claimed all the rest. Hers were filled with Teddy Grahams, much to her delight.

St. Patrick's Day

I snapped this picture of the kids yesterday before we left for work/daycare. Maggie is showing off her new top teeth. Ben is showing off his pinch-able little cheeks. My little Irish angels!

Cabin Fever

I set up our tent in the living room today so the kids could play in it. Ben was having so much fun that he wanted me to give Maggie only a bottle for lunch so she could come right back to the tent with him. They had their blankies and binkies, puzzles, stuffed frogs, and pillows. What more could they ask for? Maybe some warm weather so we could actually play outside!

Grandma's Bathtub

Everyone loves my mom's bathtub. It's this big, brown sunken tub, set in the floor of their bathroom so the outer ledge is at floor level. I can't think of one grandchild who hasn't gone for a "swim" in this tub. Every time we visit "Gram Linda and Granpa Hank," Ben looks forward to his swim. This was Maggie's first time to try out the big tub. She was impossible to contain! I couldn't resist taking a photo or two of their cute little tushies. Grandpa Hank reminded me that the kids may not appreciate these pictures as much as I do when they're running for the U.S. Senate, but for now, I think they're okay (I hope!).

They love Daddy!

The kids and I took these pictures last Friday to make a poster to send to Brian at a retreat he attended over the weekend. Ben is holding his arms out to show just "how much" he loves Daddy. Maggie has nothing but mischief on her face! - a typical expression for her these days.
