Play Date w/ the Hammonds

Ben Hammond is Ben Martin's best buddy at daycare/school. It's because of Ben Hammond that our Ben refers to himself by both first and last name most of the time. What I find most adorable about seeing the two of them together is that they are at opposite ends of the size spectrum. Ben Martin is probably one of the tallest kids in their class, and Ben Hammond is one of the smallest kids in their class. This, however, is a trait that neither of them would ever notice. They just love to be around each other so much!

And when Maggie plays with the two of them, she thinks she's a three-year-old boy. No fear!

She's ROTTEN!

Align Center

This is how Brian discovered Maggie this afternoon when he walked into our bathroom. Neither of us had been keeping a very close eye on her, and she managed to escape into our bathroom, climb into the tub, turn on the VERY COLD water, and enjoy some splash time! I have said it a thousand times before... She's ROTTEN! (and she knows it.)

Daddy has decided to remove the handles from the bathtub faucet.

Thank goodness she chose the cold water instead of the hot!

Park w/ Grandma & Grandpa

We had a great day at Batesville Memorial Park today with Gram Linda & Grampa Hank. Somehow, the park is even better than I remember it. Even though we have tons of great parks in Carmel and Indy, the park in Batesville is just "better." The kids were in paradise! Looks like Grampa Hank was too!

Catching up on the Summer...

Since I was delinquent in posting anything to my blog all summer, I thought I would add a few things today, just to catch up...

LJ's 3rd birthday party: June 7th

Typical Sunday morning at church.

Ben and Sahith discover a turtle in

our backyard.
Family golfing at Grandma & Grandpa Martin's.

Ben & Quinn -- Molly & Maggie
June 17th

Ben's 3rd birthday: First celebration, (before Daddy left for Canada) June 18th

Ben's other bithday party with his Tuesday Lunch Buddies: June 24, 2008.
Bounce Planet and then lunch and cupcakes at our house.

Brian's first trip to Canada with the Pictor Men: June 23, 2008

Ben and Maggie share the bike trailor. It's supposed to seat two comfortably. They seem fairly comfortable, but also fairly squished!

Ben and his cousin, Aria, (actually, she's something like a fifth cousin to him) blow bubbles in the lawn outside the church after Martin and Emily's wedding. July 12, 2008

(Aria was born the day after Ben.)

Maggie decided that she needed to be a part of the "longest married couple" dance at the reception. Grandma and Grandpa didn't seem to mind!

I'm finally back in the loop!

Okay, okay! Mimi has reprimanded me for being out of the loop for so long. My apologies... I have been extremely busy enriching the faith-lives of 12 women in our church. Can you blame me for neglecting my blogging responsibilities? Actually, I have been deeply immersed in a program called CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish) for the last six months. The culmination of my formation period was this past weekend, so now, I should have a little more time on my hands to catch up on my blog and to play with my kids again. I miss them. Haven't they grown?!
I have been waiting for months to be able to put Maggie's hair in pig-tails, and yesterday was my first chance. I was so excited! And Ben --- well... He has grown so much over the summer that I'm going to have to replace all of his clothes AGAIN! The shirts that he wore at the end of last winter now hit him just below the elbow! What happened to my babies?
